Tour Overview

The Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp treks are two legendary routes in Nepal, winding through the spectacular landscapes of the Annapurna region. These iconic trails reveal the incredible diversity of the Himalayas, from lush green valleys and charming mountain villages to dramatic high passes and towering snow-covered peaks.

Combining the Circuit with the journey to Base Camp creates an unforgettable trekking adventure. During this journey, you will explore remote villages, experience the warm hospitality of local communities, and walk through ever-changing landscapes that range from subtropical forests to alpine terrain beneath some of the world’s highest mountains.

Detailed Itinerary

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar by public bus or jeep, followed by a shared jeep ride along the Marsyangdi Valley to Chame (2650 meters)

Chame is the administrative center of Manang District and offers excellent views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.

The trail follows the Marsyangdi River through pine forests, narrow gorges, and dramatic rock formations.

Pisang is a traditional village with Tibetan-style houses, monasteries, and spectacular mountain views.

A scenic trek through Braga and other ancient villages with wide views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak.

Manang is a major acclimatization hub with rich Tibetan Buddhist culture.

A full day to rest and adapt to the altitude. Optional hikes include Gangapurna Lake, Ice Lake, or viewpoints above the village.

The trail climbs gradually through alpine meadows and yak pastures, with increasingly dramatic mountain scenery.

Ascend to Thorong Phedi and continue to High Camp for better positioning before the pass crossing.

Start early to cross one of the highest trekking passes in the world. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Descend to the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath Temple.

Travel by local jeep or bus through Kagbeni, Jomsom, Marpha, and the Kali Gandaki Valley.

Tatopani is famous for its natural hot springs, where you can relax after several demanding trekking days.

A long uphill trek through terraced fields, traditional Magar villages, and rhododendron forests.

Ghorepani is a popular village known for panoramic mountain views.

Early morning hike to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise over Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Machhapuchhre.

After breakfast, continue through beautiful forests to Tadapani.

Descend through forest trails and local villages before reaching Chhomrong, the gateway to Annapurna Base Camp.

Descend to Chhomrong Khola, climb to Sinuwa, and continue through bamboo and rhododendron forests.

The trail climbs steadily through dense forest and narrow valleys with views of waterfalls and towering cliffs.

Pass through Machhapuchhre Base Camp and enter the Annapurna Sanctuary.

Annapurna Base Camp is surrounded by some of Nepal’s highest peaks, including Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre.

Enjoy a final morning view of the Annapurna Sanctuary before descending through MBC, Deurali, and Himalaya to Bamboo.

Retrace your steps to Chhomrong and descend to Jhinu Danda.

In the afternoon, relax in the natural hot springs beside the Modi Khola.
