Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the website operated by Anjil & Manjil Travels & Tours Pvt. Ltd. ("us", "we", "our", or the "Company"), a registered travel and tour agency based in Pokhara, Nepal with over three decades of professional experience.

Your access to and use of our services is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By booking a trip with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Contract and Booking Confirmation

  • Booking Party: The person making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted these terms on behalf of all persons named in the booking.
  • Deposit Requirement: To secure a booking for trekking, tours, or expeditions, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total trip cost is required at the time of booking.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid at least 15 days before your trip departure date, or upon your arrival in Nepal, before the trip commences.
  • Last-Minute Bookings: Bookings made within 10 days of departure require full payment at the time of reservation.

2. Trip Alterations and Price Adjustments

  • By the Client: If you wish to make changes to your itinerary after confirmation, we will do our best to accommodate them. However, additional costs incurred from hotels, flight changes, or permits will be charged to the client.
  • By the Company: We reserve the right to modify itineraries, accommodation, or transportation due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, roadblocks, political instability, or flight cancellations.
  • Price Changes: The Company reserves the right to revise prices in the event of significant increases in domestic flight fares, government taxes, or fuel surcharges.

3. Customized Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because we offer a wide variety of activities—ranging from cultural day tours to high-altitude trekking and adventure sports—cancellation policies are customized for each specific tour package.

  • Package-Specific Rules: Please refer to the specific "Cancellation Policy" section listed on your chosen tour's itinerary page or your booking voucher.
  • General Default Policy: Where no specific policy is stated on the tour page, the following default fees apply from the date we receive your written cancellation notice:
  • 30 days or more prior to departure: The 20% deposit is retained (valid for a lifetime for a future trip).
  • 15 to 29 days prior to departure: 50% of the total trip cost will be charged.
  • Less than 14 days prior to departure: 100% of the total trip cost will be charged (No refund).
  • No Show: No refund will be given for no-shows or if a client leaves a trip willingly after it has started.

4. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

  • Coverage Requirements: It is a strict condition of booking with us that all clients possess comprehensive travel insurance.
  • Policy Specifics: Your insurance policy must cover personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, helicopter rescue/evacuation, and trip cancellation.
  • Proof of Insurance: You must provide a copy of your insurance policy and emergency contact numbers before embarking on any high-altitude treks or expeditions.

5. Passports, Visas, and Health

  • Validity: Clients must possess a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the duration of the trip.
  • Visa Responsibility: Obtaining a Nepalese Visa is the sole responsibility of the client. Visas can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport or Nepalese embassies abroad.
  • Physical Fitness: It is the client's responsibility to ensure they are medically fit for the chosen itinerary. Please consult your physician regarding vaccinations and physical preparation.

6. Risk and Limitation of Liability

  • Inherent Risks: Traveling in mountainous regions like the Himalayas involves inherent risks including altitude sickness, unpredictable weather, and natural hazards.
  • Limitation: While our team brings over 30 years of safety experience, the Company, its guides, and staff shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to personal property caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • Legal Terms: This contract and any matters arising from it are governed by the laws of the Government of Nepal.
  • Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes or claims arising out of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pokhara, Nepal.
