Tour Overview
This trek offers fantastic panoramic views of the Annapurna Range at a relatively low (for the Himalayas) altitude. It also offers an insight into local community life and a takes you through leafy forests of rhododendrons and other trees.
First of all the mountains: With the Annapurna Himal to the east, Dhaulagiri Himal to the west, and Tibet to the north, the sunrise over the Himalayas from the top of Poonhill is breathtaking.
Then the landscape: Aside from mountains the landscape is beautiful, leafy, and full of color in the springtime.
Detailed Itinerary
Trek to Ghorepani via the pretty Pun Magar villages of Ulleri (6 hours walking) (2855M) we haul up here for our overnight stay at our teahouse lodge.
Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3210m) for best sunrise views of the towering snowcapped mountains of Annapurna 1, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, tent peak, Annapurna south, & Himchuli etcetera. After the breakfast trek to Tadapani (2600m) 5/6 hours walk, our overnight at our teahouse lodge.
This is our last day on the wonderful trails of 4 Days Ghorepani Poon hIll Loop trek. After a hot breakfast we trek back to Ghandruk & we then head back to Nayaul, drive back to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, we will transfer you back to your hotel. Tour end.
