Day one welcomed us with a smooth transition into the Terai lowlands, followed by an insightful Tharu village walking tour and a peaceful sunset by the Karnali River. The following days blew us away: we experienced a thrilling full-day jeep safari through open grasslands and dense Sal forests, went quiet-canoeing on the river looking for marsh muggers and freshwater dolphins, and did guided jungle walks where our expert naturalist guides read the ground like a book, tracking fresh tiger and leopard footprints.The resort accommodation was cozy, comfortable, and deeply relaxing, complemented by fresh, hearty meals after long hours out in the park. Hearing the sounds of the jungle at night and waking up to pristine mist over the river was magical.
